You will only be a three-minute walk from the Jockey's Ridge State Park Estuarine Access where the entire family can relax and play in the calm waters of the Roanoake Sound. The shallow sound waters don't have the currents and waves of the ocean and never have "red flag" days! Like watersports? Launch your kayak or paddleboard from this nearby beach or, if you like your adventures a little more fast paced, this is one of the best places for kiteboarding or windsurfing on the East Coast. Jockey's Ridge State Park is also the perfect place for a nature hike. You can spend hours exploring the vast 427 acres of hiking trails, sand dunes, and beautiful maritime forest.
