Welcome to Sun of a Beach! This home is just a short stroll to the beach with your choice of two accesses on either end of the street at Admiral or Abalone Streets. There's plenty to do at the house and nearby…. relax in the hot tub, take a nap in the hammock, shoot some hoops, read a book on the front or back deck, or take a walk or bike ride (can bring your own or rent nearby) to Dowdy Park for some family fun and the weekly farmers market. If you need to work remotely, there is a desk & chair in the primary bedroom. If you need to pickup groceries, ice, wine, beer…….Food Lion is right across the street. Best of all is the easy walk to Booty Treats for an ice cream break. You can also walk to lots of nearby restaurants and shopping, take a drive to the Wright Brothers’ Memorial or Jockeys Ridge State Park, or over to the beautiful neighboring town of Manteo, or book a fishing charter out of Oregon Inlet. Or…..go to the beach!!!! Nags Head offers so much to enjoy! Reserve your week now and have fun!

Sun of a Beach was the best vacation spot for our family. The house was clean and it had everything a family of 4 could ask for!! It was conveniently located in the heart of Nags Head. A 3 minute walk to the beach, a 30 second walk to food lion, and a 15 minute bike ride to Jockey Ridge!! Thank you to the wonderful owners and amazing staff at Cola Vaughan for making our summer 2025 unforgettable!! We will surely be renting again next year!!

Sun of a Beach was the BEST house we have found to stay at in the OBX! This house was perfect in every way! Beautifully decorated, just a short walk to the ocean to watch morning sunrises, and SUPER convenient being close enough to Food Lion that we could just walk on over if we needed anything! The outside sitting areas are all comfortable and very enjoyable! Our kiddos absolutely loved the sandy play area and the grown ups loved the extremely adorable hot tub area! More than once during our week stay we found ourselves saying “Man, the owners really have thought of EVERYTHING to make sure their guests are comfortable and happy!” Even the outdoor shower was impressive! This house was SO CLEAN upon arrival, which has been a rarity in other houses that we have rented in the past! We always do a thorough sweep and clean up after we unpack, and to our amazement, there was NOTHING to be cleaned up! This house was truly cleaned and prepared for us very nicely! We were so appreciative of this!!! This wonderful house was just a short walk away from Booty Treats and Gulf Stream Gifts, which are two of our family’s favorite stops in OBX! This house is seriously a treasure! The perfect house for a truly relaxing and wonderful vacation!!!

We had a great time very convenient right across the road from food lion. Very well supplied Kitchen plenty of dishes for cooking.
