| The Sound shore near Lacy Days is a great place for kids to play (and parents relax). The shallow sound waters don't have the currents and waves of the ocean and ther's never a "red flag" day! You'll enjoy nice long walks by the water with beautiful sunsets. The sound is also excellent for wind-surfing and sail boats, and your pets will enjoy the calm shallow waters. Jockeys Ridge State Park is 500 acres of natural open space preserving the East Coast's highest sand-dune. The abundant wildlife, spectacular views from the high dunes, hang-gliding, kite flying and just playing in the sand make all that open space a wonderful asset in the busy summer season. | ![]() |
