This cottage is very well-equipped and furnished and kept in excellent condition by local owners. The location at the end of a shared drive is private, quiet and out of the way yet so close to the Beach! No thru traffic in this quiet private ocean-side subdivision with only 15 cottages. You can relax without worries about the kids or the pets. There is a convenient ground level store-room for your beach gear and a private, hot & cold out-side shower.

South Nags Head is arguably the best location on the Outer Banks for a family vacation. Totally low density residential, enveloped by the Hatteras National Seashore yet only minutes from every commercial or recreational outlet, families will find the quiet low-traffic non-commercial atmosphere relaxing yet appreciate how easy it is to drive to the grocery store, restaurants, a movie or the putt-putt. The large multi-use path that parallels Old Oregon Inlet Road for its 4.5 mile length is great for biking, roller-blading or the walker in the family. Oregon Inlet, the boat ramps and fishing center are just a couple of miles south along with the deserted beaches in the undeveloped National Seashore. DIRECTIONS

Pelican Park is at 10021-C Pelican Court in the Pelican Park Subdivision near the 21 mile post in South Nags Head. Pelican Park is on the ocean-side of Old Oregon Inlet Road about 1/2 mile south of the the Aqua colored South Nags Head water tank. Coming from Virginia; about 16 miles south of the Wright Memorial Bridge is the Whalebone Junction area where US 158 & US 64 come together at the east end of the causeway to Manteo (coming from interior NC to the west). Whalebone Junction is also the northern intersection of NC Route 12 and Old Oregon Inlet Road. From this intersection drive 3 miles south on Old Oregon Inlet Rd. Pelican Park will be on your left on the beach side. You may also follow Highway 12 to the south towards Oregon Inlet and Hatteras for @ 4 miles from the junction of US 64 &158 and then turn left onto Old Oregon Inlet Rd. Pelican Park will be @ 1 mile north on your right. After turning into the Pelican Park Subdivision the cottage will be on the left at the end of the third drive to the left.
