DIRECTIONS

Sea Glass: Oceanside in Goose Wing Subdivision near the 21 Mile Post in South Nags Head. The cottage address is 108 East Seagull Drive which is on the right (south) side of East Seagull just to the east of Bodie Isle Court. Coming from the North by US 158, Drive South from the Wright Memorial Bridge for @ 16 miles until you get near the end of US 158 ( and the beginning of US 64 ) From this area ( locally called Whalebone Junction ) you will need to drive a block east over to access the north end of Old Oregon Inlet Road OR drive on south towards Hatteras on NC 12 @ 4 miles to access the south end of Old Oregon Inlet Road. You may get to East Seagull by driving @ 3.5 miles south on Old Oregon Inlet Rd. It will be on your right just past Altoona Street. You may also follow Highway 12 to the south towards Oregon Inlet and Hatteras for approx. 4 miles from the junction of US 64 &158 and turn left onto Old Oregon Inlet Rd. East Seagull will be to your right approx. on half mile north. The cottage will be on right side of East Seagull just past Bodie Isle Court.

As can be seen on the aerial photo above; A wider area of Beach can also be accessed from the end of EastSeagull @ another 300 feet from the first beach access. Near the first beach access In periods of high surf the beach can be narrow & there are buried sand-bags which are sometimes uncovered by high surf.
