The White-Morris Cottage has possibly one of the best locations on the entire Outer Banks. Because the nearest public beach access are nearly a mile in both directions and many ( if not most) of the cottages in this 2 mile stretch of the "Nags Head Historical District" are not rented; the beach at White-Morris is almost unbelievably empty on even the busiest days of summer. Yet the central location means the necessities ( and the fun stuff too) are conveniently near-by. The convenience of a modern, very well-equipped kitchen and laundry room and the ease of going and coming from the beach (you can easily supervise children playing on the beach from the porch) make this a relaxing location for a quiet family vacation; or for those more action oriented, Kitty Hawk Kites and Sports nearby can arrange Hang-Gliding lessons on the Dunes, Wind-surfing in the Roanoke Sound or Kayaking trips in nearby waters, kite-boarding, "rock" wall climbing, para-sailing, aero-tours; the list goes on….So Relax…or Play., the choice is yours and the Morris-White Cottage is the perfect location.

DIRECTIONS

The Morris-White Cottage is located on the Oceanfront at about the 12.9 mile post in Nags Head at 3937 S. Virginia Dare Trail ( the Beach Road). Coming from the north, there will be signs for the entrance to Jockeys Ridge State Park beginning @ the 12 mile post. The Beach Road and The By-Pass run side-by-side @ the 12.4 M.P. and shortly thereafter the sand-dune comes right up to the highway and there is the only crosswalk controlled by a traffic light at Kitty Hawk Kites/Sports. The first cross-street south of this light is Soundside Road. Turn east towards the Ocean. At the "T" with S. Va. Dare Trail ( the Beach Road) turn left (north) 3937 will be about 7 or 8 houses north on the Ocean-front (right).
