It is very thoroughly equipped including 4 color TV's / VCRs/DVDs, glassed in Florida room and a gas fireplace for cozy shoulder week stays. This child friendly cottage also comes equipped with equipment for toddlers including a high-chair,& play-pen/crib. You will find Southward to be a convenient comfortable cottage with a quiet location and great beach access. South Nags Head is arguably the best location on the Outer Banks for a family vacation. Totally low density residential, enveloped by the Hatteras National Seashore yet only minutes from every commercial or recreational outlet. South Nags Head is such a great spot for a beach vacation! In front of you just to the East (@450feet) wide and beautiful Atlantic Ocean Beaches are steps away with a direct access, just behind you (@150 feet) to the West is the Bodie Island Wild-life Refuge. Commercial necessities are conveniently near-by (@ 2 miles ) but "not in my neighborhood!" Just down the road are Oregon Inlet (for the fishermen), the Bodie Island Light-house, and miles of empty beach in the Cape Hatteras National Seashore.

South Nags Head is perfect for your family beach vacation and Southward offers an attractive, well equipped cottage for your group to enjoy. Just a very short stroll to wide and beautiful Atlantic Ocean Beaches. No commercial activity anywhere around with only family cottages. The street is easy to cross with light traffic. Just behind you (@150 feet) to the West is the Bodie Island Wild-life Refuge. Commercial necessities are conveniently near-by (@2 miles ) but not in my neighborhood! Just down the road are Oregon Inlet,for the fishermen) the Bodie Island Light-house, and miles of empty beach in the Cape Hatteras National Seashore.

DIRECTIONS

Southward is at 10101 South Colony South Drive near the 21 mile post in South Nags Head. The cottage is on the south side of the northern entrance to South Colony South Drive on the corner with Old Oregon Inlet Road and has direct beach access from the property. South Colony South Drive is a feeder street running Parallel to Old Oregon Inlet Road to the west. It begins around the 20 Mile Post and ends where Old Oregon Inlet Road enters Park Service Property and rejoins Highway 12. You may get to S. Colony by driving 3 miles south on Old Oregon Inlet Rd. It will be on your right. The cottage is on the corner lot between Old Oregon Inlet Rd and S. Colony South Drive. You may also follow Highway 12 to the south towards Oregon Inlet and Hatteras for approx. 4 miles from the junction of US 64 &158 and turn left onto Old Oregon Inlet Rd. S. Colony.. will be to your left. The cottage is on the corner lot between Old Oregon Inlet Rd and S. Colony South Drive
